Higgins, 55, a resident of Pearl Street, Waterboro, and longtime residential painter in the Kennebunk area, died on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford after a period of failing health. Thursday, September 11, 2014. Thought I would take a moment and update my blog. I can't believe my last post was shortly after my brother, Scott died, almost 2 years ago. I'm such a slacker. We are still homeschooling Hannah and are in our 4th year and she's a junior. She rides at the barn every week and leases a horse. She also take s STEM Science class in Wells, cooking in Scarborough and a theater class in Portland. She's a busy girl! Hope all continues well for you! Sorry for your loss.

Friday, March 28, 2008. The cat I met today. What an odd last couple of days. I topped it off by attending a senior citizen dance tonight that we sponsered, but that's a whole nother posting. And it doesn't stop yet. Today I took a baby's urn back to an 18 year old mom who lied about the dad. Gave me some guy's name who swore to me he didn't know her so how could he be a dead baby's father. Ends up that mom's step-dad is baby's father. How can people like that exist? It makes me so darn mad.

Tuesday, June 03, 2008. My son is an alcoholic. Not that I thought he miraculously wouldn't be. Just that i thought it was getting easier and he wasn't drinking. My dog is still dead and my son's still drinking. Tomorrow night he and I and his girlfriend will have a come-to-Jesus meeting. It's probably long overdue. I'm overwhelmed with homework. Did I say that a requirement of being hired as a funeral director was that I need to be fully licensable within two years? So, I have to take some classes.

Tuesday, September 28, 2010. Another job interview. It didn't feel great. I've had a few interviews now. Two jobs i got, two i didn't. Two jobs that didn't last very long. Thursday, March 27, 2014. Good morning, Sunshine. I need to focus on my goals and my dreams. How to make them happen, and what steps I need to take to get to those places. I will set up a gentle early morning routine, and stick to it. I'm not asking myself to go to the gym at 5AM and lift dumbbells. But a routine that consists of a quiet time with the Lord, making my bed, doing some yoga or going for a morning walk. Things that will get me going in the right direction for my day.
