NASA Image of the Day. Saturday, March 14, 2009. Tonight, the 19th of Adar, 5769, my little boy officially became a man. After making Havdallah. We pulled out his tefillin. Which my Dad had brought him from Israel on his previous visit. We brought out Rabbi Donin's book " To Be A Jew". And I taught him how to put them on. While the straps are still new and uncomfortable, he just looked so natural wearing them, I couldn't believe it. Tomorrow morning he will come with me to minyan. Posted by Hadass Eviatar.

NASA Image of the Day. Friday, February 20, 2009. What a difference a day makes. Today I walked the halls with a different veteran teacher. Very different approach. No power struggles, just jokes and kidding and the kids moved on . Also met the principal in the hallway, who took pains to make sure I knew it was OK for the kids to be in the hall if they were quiet. Hmmm . Posted by Hadass Eviatar. NASA Image of the Day. Monday, March 9, 2009. Thirteen years ago tonight . We decided that thirty-six hours of labour (induced and just not going very well) was enough, and we were going for a C. Rafi is the baby on the right (the baby on the left turned 13 yesterday! They were thirteen months. Old in this picture. The Defense of Jisr Al Doreaa. Is a short fictional novella to give cadets, lieutenants and junior leaders an understanding of the application of counter-insurgency fundamentals.
