Saturday, May 21, 2011. Day 15 - Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale. Our last night in Las Vegas was a perect end to the trip. We had a great dinner at Maggiano’s and then headed to Treasure Island for the Cirque Du Soleil show. We arrived early and had some time to waste. We played some video poker and came out $7 ahead. Then it was showtime…and it did not disappoint. The skill, strength, and flexibility of the performers were amazing. We were shocked to see what they could do. The flight home was uneventful.

Monday, May 16, 2011. Day 12 - Lake Tahoe to Yosemite National Park. Today we set out from Lake Tahoe and had to take a different route than we had planned because of road closures or because you were required to have chains on your tires! Thankfully we didn’t get any more snow overnight and we were able to get out without a problem. First we headed east to an overlook that Jason had been to during his last trip to Lake Tahoe. The overlook was absolutely breathtaking, and worth the 15 minute detour.

Saturday, May 7, 2011. Day 3 - Grand Canyon. Our morning was amazing. We drove to the Grand Canyon Airport for our helicopter ride. We saw spectacular views of the canyon from high above. We even dropped below the canyon rim for a different viewpoint. Our trip was 50 minutes long, which allowed us to see the North and South Rims. Words can’t describe what we saw. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Day 6 - San Diego, CA. We spent the day at the San Diego Zoo. It was crazy to think that a zoo that big is in the middle of a big city. We spent 5 hours looking at all the animals. Jason’s favorite was the brown bear, which was pacing in the front of the exhibit the whole time we were watching. We actually went by the bears exhibits earlier in the day and couldn’t see any of them. We decided to try again…and we were glad we did. Following closely in second, was the polar bear.

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Day 7 - San Diego to San Luis Obispo, CA. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. We left San Diego this morning after having a wonderful stay and enjoying the zoo! Today was a fairly boring day of driving as we made our way north to San Luis Obispo. We did not take a SINGLE picture today, which makes up for the number of pictures we took yesterday! We jumped on the interstate heading north first, before exiting to take the Pacific Coast Highway. We did have a nice lunch on the beach in Malibu.

Friday, May 13, 2011. Day 9 - San Francisco. We had a great day in San Francisco today. First thing on the agenda was a bicycle ride across the golden gate bridge. We rode a tandem bike, which was pretty awesome and not too hard to get used to. Overall, it was a 8 ½ mile bike ride which started along the coast by Fisherman’s Wharf. Then we headed up and across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a beautiful ride and a perfect way to see the golden gate bridge up close and personal. Should be an awesome day!

Wednesday, March 21, 2012. On Sydney's birthday, she woke up to a room full of balloons. She was so excited! But not as excited as her sister, who was awake at 6:00 ready to go wake up her sister so she could see her surprise. It was very sweet to see how excited Sara Beth was to celebrate Sydney's special day. She even got her favorite, pudding for breakfast on her birthday! Ready to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and Sydney's birthday at school. She really didn't want anymore pictures taken of her.
