Swing Guitar: January 2006
http://swingguitar.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
Dedicated to pre-bebop jazz guitar. Monday, January 02, 2006. Here's the next in my our series of rhythm guitar changes to classic tunes - Earl Hines' Rosetta. A2 - Here I switched out the C7 for a E7 with no 5th. It's a common sub. Also notice the classic ascending line used on both the G7 and the C7. A3 - This is pretty much like the rest of the A sections, except a transitional tritone sub from the D7 into the G7. Posted by Jonathan Stout @ 11:45 PM. Glendale, California, United States.

Dedicated to pre-bebop jazz guitar. Monday, October 17, 2005. So Freddie Green never took a solo, huh? UPDATED: Sound Samples Working! The legend of Freddie Green very clearly states that Freddie never soloed. Well . like most legends, that's not exactly true. Recently turned me on to another Freddie Green solo from the New Testament Basie band (which I generally do not consider to be " S. Wing" in the genre sense of the word; that band was very straight-ahead, although they may have been " s. This is cl...
