Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. College Reunion in Thailand…. April 20, 2016. April 20, 2016. Arriving back in Bangkok, I waited at the airport for my two roommates from college to arrive. Anthony and Tyler decided just three days before that they were going to make the long journey over to Thailand to travel around with me for a little over a week! We wandered around the beach passing from dance parties to fire spinning shows the length of the beach. Malaysian Visa Run…. You are commentin...

Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. Headed South out of Thailand…. March 30, 2016. March 30, 2016. Boat through Phang Nha. The Phang Nha province of Thailand reminded me a lot of Halong Bay in Vietnam. A several hour boat ride through limestone karsts brought me to Koh Yao Noi, a somewhat undeveloped island. Beach on Koh Yao Noi. Longtail boat around Koh Yao Noi. Hidden coves asking to be explored. Deep water soloing around Koh Yao Noi. Notice the smashed windshield of the speedboat? You are c...

Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. Similan Islands Diving…. February 28, 2016. Following my reintroduction to diving on the eastern Thai islands, I wanted to find what’s called a liveaboard diving cruise. In the town of Khao Lak I shopped around and found a company that was running an all inclusive three day and two night cruise on one of their liveaboard boats for only 12,000baht ($330), … More Similan Islands Diving…. Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. Now I’m On My Own…. September 8, 2015. September 10, 2015. I woke up pretty early the next day and thought it would be a good idea to go buy some basic tools in case I broke down on the road. That simple task took nearly two hours and all I ended up getting were two wrenches and a screwdriver. Figuring out how to attach my 65lb backpack to the rear of the bike took quite a while as well. Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. Malaysian Visa Run…. April 2, 2016. April 2, 2016. Overflowing plates of food full of rice, meats, and veggies cost only $3 or $4 at the most. For the three days I was in KL I gorged myself and was constantly full. The other alluring aspect of KL was the numerous skyscrapers dotting the skyline. I took a walk though a jungle trail in the middle of the city and ended up at the bottom of the KL Tower, a place I have dreamed of coming to for years and years.

Documenting My Journey Through Southeast Asia. February 4, 2016. Relaxing in my ENO right next to the temple. The Angkor Highway, now known as the Cambodian route 66. As the sun rose the next morning I broke camp and explored the rest of the overgrown and collapsing complex. 200 foot bridge constructed nearly 1000 years ago. Pretty impressive! Banyan trees covering the temples. Temple right on the cliffline. Right on the border with Thailand, Prasat Preah Vihear was a incredible mountain temple situated ...
