Monday, December 29, 2008. Saying Goodbye to 2008. A couple days we’ll bring in a New Year. There is always something about that marker that gets me excited. I usually start a new devotional. Spend some time the first of each year focusing on the Lord and what He wants to say to me for that new year and setting the tone for the year to come. But I also spend time reflecting. Which is what I was doing last night. He’s just as real to me. As if I’d held His hand a million times. Just like a friend would be.

September 29, 2009. Carson turned five today and he had one request - breakfast in bed. Of course I did what he asked and served him breakfast in bed, on a tray. He said he would like breakfast in bed every birthday from now until he's 13. He later changed the age to 9. Whew, only 4 more years!
