Denis McEvoy: ESSAY
http://www.denismcevoy.blogspot.com/p/essay.html
Does citizen journalism have a role outside conflict zones or are traditional media outlets simply using participatory journalism in superficial manner? I will look at how citizen journalism is being embraced by the media and whether it's being warmly received or forced upon them. I will also examine how much impact citizen journalism is having outside the high profile conflict zones. The goal should be for this kind of journalism to add to the skilled reporting of trained journalist in everyday stories.

http://www.denismcevoy.blogspot.com/2010/04/irish-times-online.html
Is citizen journalism assimilating smoothly into the status quo? Filed Under: Labels: Citizen Journalism. Is it simply the cost benefit to media producers that is making them take notice of citizen journalists? It would be cynical to suggest such a thing, but it's a suggestion not without some truth. I know what its like to be a smoker. I smoked 20 cigarettes a day for over 25 years and like most smokers I tried patches, cold turkey, etc and none of them worked for me, until I found hypnosis. After one session it was like i never smoked, no bad humour, no weight gain, no feeling of being deprived. The one hour session was a very pleasant experience and I was happy with my life I decided to train to become a clinical hypnotherapist. Leave your details with me and I will call you back free of charge.
