Random thoughts by a random nerd. Follow born2code at http:/ twitter.com. Thursday, March 8, 2012. My last decade centered around family, work and racquetball. As I turned 40 a year ago my racquetball related injuries kept adding up and I decided to take on something new this decade. Last Week I took my first training steps with a short road run with a running group in Crystal Lake. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Rob Conery - asp.net MVC. Stephen Walther on .NET. Random thoughts by a random nerd. Follow born2code at http:/ twitter.com. Saturday, March 17, 2012. Had a nice run in Crystal Lake at 7:30 this morning. My first road six miler. Took an hour and 10 minutes. If I can hold the pace and build the distance then I am looking at a 2:30 half marathon in May and a 5:00 hour marathon in the Fall. Since I just started running I am going to aim for that as my goal for the next several months. Links to this post. Saturday, March 10, 2012. First four mile run. Turns ...

Alex Branning's Blog: December 2007
http://alexbranning.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 20, 2007. Let's talk about Santa. It's that time of year again, and all through my office building Christmas songs blare out and tell me more about this 'Santa' guy than I want to know. This guy has got to be the most twisted perv in the world. Why? Here's the facts (as I heard them):. 1) He wants to give gifts to all the children of the world - no adults, only children. You say, "how cute" I say how gross! I don't want an old, strange man giving gifts to my kids! Need I say more?

Monday, January 21, 2008. Goodbye Gadsden Villas; Hello Cerisa Street! Well our move went surprisingly well! We were able to pack up, load the truck and get everything in our house in six hours (including eating)! We now have the daunting task of unpacking everything.ouch. Me and Kath had to take a day of rest on Sunday so we could just recuperate, both of us were sick on moving day. A HUGE thank-you to Kyle, Kristen, Jimmy and my Dad for helping out. Monday, February 18, 2008. I am a warrior for my family, my God and myself. I'm reading through a book called "The Blessings of Asher", which goes in depth about the tribe of Asher and the blessings that have been promised to it (it's basically a book talking about Christians and wealth) - and one of the points it made really got me thinking! God wants you to go to war for your family and for His battles". From a man's perspective; that sounds awesome! Friday, February 15, 2008. I don't know if there's a...

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Why bother going to church? Are you bored of hearing the same lessons, over and over again? Are you tired of wondering if the person you're speaking with is who they say they are, or an entirely different person on this one day of the week where we gather together under the Christian banner? Have you wondered if going to church is a necessary exercise or just a boring habit you do because you're supposed to? Why do you attend (or not attend) church? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Random thoughts by a random nerd. Follow born2code at http:/ twitter.com. Saturday, March 10, 2012. First four mile run. I program late into the night on most days. Thus I am not a fan of getting up early. Today however I got up at 6:30, changed, said hi to the kids, who are always up early and drove to the Running Depot in Crystal Lake for my first morning group run. It was 30 degrees when we started with a strong and chilly headwind. I ended up running an 11 minute pace for the four miles. Couple o...
