Bigwave's Blog: October 2011

Sunday, October 16, 2011. Fishing in Kodiak Alaska. This is the oldest church in Alaska, at the mouth of the Karluk River on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Weather was often cool and rainy, but the fishing was good. We fished in small boats on the river, and in the ocean for halibut when the seas were calm. In the afternoon we would fly fish for Dolly Varden. This was the last days catch of 30 salmon. These were two nice silvers I caught. We caught our limits most days. Bigwave's Blog: November 2010

Sunday, November 28, 2010. We had a great time in Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Half of the family made it down. Drew was a great host to share his home and heat the pool. We had ten adults and 12 kids for the dinner. It was a great meal and we had lots of fun and games with the fam. Dinner prep by the girls. Sometimes dinner just takes too long. Brit couldn't quite make it. We had a great time in Drew's pool. He heated it so that the cool days were fine to swim. Playing thanksgiving bingo with grandpa.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012. In Eugene Oregon we did the covered bridge tour in Cottage Grove. There were 7 covered bridges to find. They hold weddings in this one. The previous week we were in Walla Walla, WA. They had the annual Walla Walla balloon stampede. They sent off balloon from all the schools around the city. They left at 7am. They had four at the school we went to by the fairgrounds. It was fun to see the sky filled with the hot air balloons. Makes you want to go for a ride. View my complete profile.

Thursday, April 11, 2013. While Eraleigh and I were at the zoo with her class Richard took William for fun morning at the children's museum up the street. It was so nice for them to have a little one on one time and for William to not have big sister telling him what to do and where to go. From what I hear they had an absolute blast! No more for you. Cup behind back. Here comes the tongue. The reaction. ewww! Posted by Erin Lafleur. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). People Who Enjoy This Blog. Chasing ...

The Davenport Report: Arches National Park
http://golftilyoudie.blogspot.com/2013/11/arches-national-park.html
Wednesday, November 13, 2013. We took a trip to Moab with the Smiths this last weekend. The purpose of our trip was to visit Arches National Monument. The Smiths go every year, but we had never been. So we invited ourselves on their family trip and the they accepted! Tara has lived in Utah her entire life and had never visited Arches. Dave has lived here for 20 years and hadn't visited Arches either. Huge mistakes! View near Double Arch. You can see Balanced Rock in the background. Arch near Corona Arch.

Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Let them Eat Cake. What do you serve for breakfast when you are trying to recover from a week of birthdays? Ahhh just let them eat cake. That is what childhood is for right? I know I won't be winning any mother of the year awards and definitely didn't make the best nutritional choice but sometimes its worth it to see smiles like this so early in the morning :). Posted by Erin Lafleur. Cake, Presents, and Pictures. Blowing out the candle on her cake. And opening of the gifts.
