The latest info on Denver area bicycle paths including new and less traveled paths. Wednesday, July 15, 2015. July 2015 Sand Creek Ride Holy Crap look who's back! Me at a park along the South Platte River Trail, flying my quad copter #djiphantom. I took an RTD 15L bus East on Colfax to Peoria Street to catch the Sand Creek. Conditions were somewhat sandy. There's the trail, right there. Peoria and E 25th Ave. Soon you go past the Bluff Lake Nature Center. There it is, you just have a small inconvenience.

Bart Lantz bikes through Denver and blogs all about it! Thursday, December 4, 2008. This morning it was snowing and the temp was 20°F with the wind chill putting the temp at 10°F. The commute was a blast! I took the bike path most of the way because this is the first time I've ridden through snow on the roads. It wasn't icy so I didn't have to deal with that. The city of Denver was plowing the bike paths! What clothes did I have? But otherwise the 4 layers were plenty warm. Balaclava or neck warmer. ...

I biked down the Platte River Trail, picked up the Bear Creek Trail and took that into Morrison. Then I rode up the Mt Vernon Road to Matthew Winters Park. Once there I changed into my hiking boots and hiked the Morrison Slide trail. Amazing Day. Then for a perfect ending I topped it off with a Strawberry Good Humor bar and a bottle of Squirt. The wind dried me out, I did not drink enough water and felt a bit dehydrated at the end of the ride. I ran into Mu Son, we talked for awhile.
