A record of the preparation for the Three Peaks Challenge 2008. 12 people, 24 hours, 3 Mountains - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. This features the progress of a bunch of Derby lads preparing for the ultimate test of their endurance. THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE 5-6 JULY 2008. After a long night (the bunk house has people coming and going at all hours), we started the challenge at 8am Saturday morning. Again, the weather was great and we completed the ascent and descent of Ben Nevis in 4 hours 40mins.

ODE TO ACTIONS OF MY RESCUERS. After being found unconscious in a Scrooby ditch by mountain rescuers, a Retford poet will donate royalties from his latest work to the voluntary service. Paul Walker says he owes so much to Derbyshire Mountain Rescue. Now fully recovered, Paul's talent for poetry and prose has led him to publish his latest work, Piping the Morning Stars, which is currently for sale on website Amazon.
