Ilsa Around The World: November 2006
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Thursday, November 23, 2006. Lost My Way to School. In the past, getting lost has never bothered me all that much. Although, it really bothered my sister a couple of times (sorry, Sis). I've always seemed to find a lesson in it somehow, or at least a new adventure. In today's 'Lost' episode (Moscow style), I simply got lucky. Oh yeah, no one will sell me one. I don't have the right kind of visa yet (you actually have to hand over your passport to buy a cell phone/SIM card here).

Ilsa Around The World: October 2006

Ilsa Around The World. Monday, October 02, 2006. How's that for an exciting title? Aren't you glad I'm back? Yep, my life slowed down a little when I came back to Canada. But hanging out with Ma and Pa in Lethbridge was actually pretty fun. Mom and I went for morning walks and Dad and I went grocery shopping for dinner - then we watched tv. The downside was I picked up a few too many extra pounds. I made sure to follow the instructions on the sign. Posted by Ilsa @ Monday, October 02, 2006.

Ilsa Around The World: December 2006
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Wednesday, December 27, 2006. Christmas in Moscow was suprisingly OK. I'll admit to a few tears, mostly out of exhaustion, Christmas Eve, but for the most part, it was kind of nice to spend it with my new friends from around the world and to share the excitement and traditions with the Russian students. Christmas Night was spent with only two students that showed up for the lesson, but we shared we part of it with other students and teachers in my school - a little karaoke, games, ...

Ilsa Around The World: August 2006
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. One of the few plans I had for my European adventure was to meet my friends in Croatia to go camping. I carried my sleeping bag in my backpack all summer specifically with this in mind. Until recently, I only thought of Croatia in terms of the war and genoicide of the early 90's. Lately it has been marketed. As a hot spot with beautiful beaches and great food. I had to go. The middle of nowhere. It only dawned on me a couple of hours later that it might be...

Ilsa Around The World: July 2006
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Friday, July 28, 2006. Last days in Israel. Here's a better photo of Jesus' tomb. I had a few moments to myself early in the morning, missing daily mass with the Mexicans. Five different religions share the Church of the Holy Sepulachre and there is a different ceremony every half hour. Church of the East. Eastern Rite Catholic Churches. Confusing, don't you think? Posted by Ilsa @ Friday, July 28, 2006. Bethlehem, Judea Desert - Jericho and the Dead Sea. Oh Little Town of Bethlehe...

Ilsa Around The World: June 2006
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Friday, June 30, 2006. To avoid the heat further I took my culturally-deprived ass to the Musée d'Art moderne et d'contemporain. I thought of my brother, Jason, who has shown some painting ability in the past. There were some nice pieces there though and an overall nice experience. This car reminds me of the last time I saw the nice Ford Tempo I once owned. Posted by Ilsa @ Friday, June 30, 2006. Tuesday, June 27, 2006. Je ne comprende pas! When the tour started he gave a written g...

Ilsa Around The World: February 2007
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Or some crazy reason, I followed California Mike to the Arctic Circle. last week, in mid-February. It was bbrrrrrisk. My friend, Emma, was openly. Freaked out. I reassured her with smiles and jokes while secretly sending a text to my friend in Moscow. It included my family's contact information and my final words. Luckily, he waited until good news came before acting and we eventually landed safely. Minced pork and reindeer w/ fried onion and boiled egg).

Ilsa Around The World: January 2007
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Saturday, January 13, 2007. On my first weekend in Moscow, I visited Red Square. It was cold and there was snow then. It was exciting to see this notorious place in person. Only a few blocks from our admin office in the city centre, it has become my main focal point for finding my way in the centre. Lenins tomb is in the centre - off to the side and in front of the red brick walls and towers which surround the Kremlin. Check out the red star on the tower. Friday, January 05, 2007.

Ilsa Around The World: March 2007
http://lisahuck.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Ilsa Around The World. Friday, March 23, 2007. I went back to Canada to see my brother, Robbie, marry his sweetheart. Amber has some Irish blood in her and they both loooove drinking beer, so they decided to have a Saint Paddy's Day theme. Great food, music, family and friends made the day very special. It was also held in my home town(s) of Luseland/Kerrobert Saskatchewan. Limericks made the couple kiss and and this little 'shoe' game indicated Rob is ready for kids! You're my Kiprusof glove save' moment.
