Maui Observer: Endangered Species
http://mauiobserver.blogspot.com/2010/07/endangered-species.html
A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Trucks are usually meticulously cared after in Maui, and the vehicles certainly serve to project the feelings and personalities of their owners through decals, stickers, and photos. What does it exactly mean to be local born? A person born in Hawaii by local parents? Does the sticker insinuate that most residents in Hawaii actually come here from somewhere else? Maui Observer: Ride 'Em Cowboy
http://mauiobserver.blogspot.com/2010/07/ride-em-cowboy.html
A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Sunday, July 4, 2010. Over the Fourth of July weekend, I experienced the 55th Annual Makawao Rodeo - Hawaii's largest. Competitors and spectators from all over the state converged at the Oskie Rice arena for 4 days of festivities. It was my first time here, and I was surprised yet again at the diversity present on Maui. Tuesday, July 06, 2010 1:56:00 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Boulder Bound - A One Way Trip. A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Happy Valley Fire Aftermath. What was interesting to observe was the fact that there was hardly anyone around. Almost like a post-apocalyptic scene, trucks, beds, and food were present, just not the people! Note the firefighter patrolling on the ridge. Thursday, December 30, 2010 2:38:00 AM. Nice post with excellent pictures. The pictures alone would make me want to go there, because they show how much character the place has!

A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Sunday, February 28, 2010. Rainbows at The Ramp. Our snorkel trip got cancelled today due to bad weather and we turned around almost as soon as we left for Molokini. However, I did manage to fire off a shot of Molokini with Kaho'olawe in the background amidst angry seas. Back on land, we encountered a boat returning from Kaho'olawe welcomed back by double rainbows. Thursday, February 25, 2010. Whole Foods has arrived on the Valley Isle. The entire place ...

Maui Observer: What A Ham
http://mauiobserver.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-ham.html
A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Friday, July 2, 2010. I don't know what my obsession is with cats lately, but here's a series of shots of my sister's cat Francis, named after the musician Francis Black. He has the most interesting facial expressions I've ever seen on a feline. Perhaps he drank the stuff out of the brown bottle sitting next to him. Monday, July 05, 2010 6:44:00 AM. Josh, Love your blog! I check in every day. Anyway, I wanted to chime in about cat names. Do I Have To Eat?

Maui Observer: Valley Isle Memorial After Dark
http://mauiobserver.blogspot.com/2010/07/valley-isle-memorial-after-dark.html
A Valley Isle reportage. Shoot first, write later. Thursday, July 1, 2010. Valley Isle Memorial After Dark. Cemeteries give me the creeps. You see all the gravestones and read the writing on said gravestones. Valley Isle Memorial Park located on the Hana Highway just before Haiku is the only graveyard I don't really mind. Due to the fact that the the tombstones are flush with the grass facing up, the park isn't as ominous, to me at least. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Boulder Bound - A One Way Trip.
