Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Make a difference, NOT MY LIFE. Maybe you are like me, sometimes I just feel like I am going through life and not really making a difference at anything. We can minister in our churches, or we do our jobs, raise our families, but sometimes if you are like me, you ask the question. Is this all there is? Recently, we went and saw a documentary on human trafficking,. Page 214). It goes like this…. A man i...

I have just finished reading. 8220;Erasing Hell” by Francis Chan. While reading this book, I came across a blog titled. 8220;Why 99% of Pastors are Universalists . . . at Funerals”. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Links to this post. Monday, August 22, 2011. From Wikipedia: Many peo...

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Monday, December 19, 2011. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. Acts 3:5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Could it be that this predictability and lack of “surprise” could be a reason why people consider church boring and a factor in declining church attendance? When was the last time something exciting happened at church that caused you to want to tell someone else? Links to this post. Perry...

Ronnie's Ramblings: June 2011

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. 1Peter 5:8 (NIV 1984). Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Just as our natural family was there for our niece, we need to be there for our brothers and sisters in the family of God. Do you know someone who is under attack or just came through an attack recently? Links to this post. Thursday, June 23, 2011. Oswald Chambers s...

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Monday, September 12, 2011. I lift my eyes up. One of my favorite songs right now is by Kristian Stanfill called “Always”. The song talks about going through troubles and how we are to lift up our eyes to the Lord, because that is where our help comes from. Psalm 121. Remember Lazarus in John 11. 8220;Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? 1 Peter 1:6-7 (NIV). In all this you greatly rejoice, t...

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Monday, April 25, 2011. For when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, since I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! Continuing on with the topic of Effective Evangelism. How effective are some types of evangelism? Here are a few more to look at. How about large evangelistic meetings? Witnessing: One on One. Or is it because I just don’t care? What ones do you use personally or in your church? What a...

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Friday, April 11, 2014. Worship That is Pleasing to Him. A new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. But the problem that I heard from the leadership at both churches, was the music. It seemed that both congregations were in favor of hymns. I don't have. Psalm 33:3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise.

Thoughts on living a life with the freedom of Christ in an ever changing world. Tuesday, May 22, 2012. God shows up, do we? Maybe you have heard it said that God would not do anything that contradicts His Word. I agree with that, but also believe that God wills and wants to demonstrate His Word, but we usually try to keep that in some type of form or pattern that we are comfortable with. Why do we put limits on how God shows up or how He does things? Or do we go with it and allow God to be in control?
