Keeping Up With the Cooks: October 2013
http://nateandbecky.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Keeping Up With the Cooks. Our little life, His big plan. Beckett always goes right to sleep. Well, usually. Tonight, however, he fussed and fussed. (By "fussed and fussed" I mean, about 2 minutes of quiet whining.) Because he rarely fusses, and because he is baby number three and rotten to the core, I went in to see what was the problem? I lifted him out of the packnplay (we are staying at Granny and Grandad's while Nate is out of town) and asked him what was wrong? Steve Jobs is our sandman.

Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption: May 2015
http://calderadoptionadventure.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Calder, Party of SIX. We have been home for 2 weeks now and settling into our new normal. Which, due to bringing home a toddler, is a new normal indeed.it includes being surprised when opening the cabinet door to the kitchen trash and thwarted by a child safety lock. Every.Single.Time. Seriously folks, for whatever reason? Thank You to our parents - without whom would have been impossible - we will forever be grateful! Powerful stu...

Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption: April 2015
http://calderadoptionadventure.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Bumps and VISA CLEARANCE! We are cleared to come home, by the grace of God, but what a frustrating week it has been. Ohmyword. We were not only not ready to submit, because of these last minute paperwork errands, but Little Miss and I were in a car from 7:30am until Noon for NO REASON! Why is submission so important? Or why could we go on the same day? We headed to embassy (with no appointment) - turns out? Links to this post.

http://calderadoptionadventure.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. A wee bit excited. It's official - we've moved onto the next phase (#145, just kidding) of the process! Our agency was quick to respond to USCIS's request for evidence and our officer emailed today to tell us that she had passed our file on to Addis. So what happens next? Our remaining process looks something like this:. 5 FINAL STEP - Adoptive parent court date - this is where we get to travel! Of course timelines on each o...

Making Room for Another - Calder Family Adoption. Tuesday, April 21, 2015. What's left and more. Anyone out there wondering just what we are waiting on here? We have been in country for 12 full days since passing court and are waiting out the multiple things that happen between court and taking Little Miss home. What are they? Where are we in this above process? The fun didn't end yesterday after getting Little Miss's passport underway - we spent the rest of the day out and about. Ephrim even found a...

Life with the Hurt Kids. Monday, June 1, 2015. To kick off our summer fun, we decided to head out and pick strawberries. We ventured out to Eudora, Kansas and made a day of it by eating a picnic lunch afterwards at a local park. You can see the fun we had-and it was a very toasty morning! It's times like these that I'm thankful my sis and I chose the same career path. We had a wonderful summer! Stay tuned as I will be updating this blog! We have had some rainy days around here! Kyle began playing for a n...

http://hurtkids.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Life with the Hurt Kids. Sunday, November 30, 2014. It's so hard to believe that my Kyle is big enough to lose teeth. He's now lost one of his front teeth (top) and looks super cute! He's been begging me to pull it for weeks and it just wasn't ready. He worked on wiggling it all day yesterday and he pulled it out! It's the Holiday Season. We had a great Thanksgiving with family from both sides of the family! Audrey and Brose arrived on Wednesday evening and had a full weekend of playing and conversation!

Life with the Hurt Kids: September 2014
http://hurtkids.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Life with the Hurt Kids. Friday, September 26, 2014. Our Thursdays are a little different this year. We spend the morning getting ready for school, eating breakfast and running out the door. The "Bigs" have to get to school by 9:15-so, we drop the girls off first, then drop Bubby off at his school. Then, it's just me and Natalie. She has physical therapy every other Thursday, but when she doesn't have therapy, it's just us! Tuesday, September 16, 2014. We decided to make an evening for Kyle's birthday an...

Life with the Hurt Kids: February 2015
http://hurtkids.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Life with the Hurt Kids. Friday, February 27, 2015. We had a super fun day! The weather is frightful, so we took our fun inside with Renee and Irelyn. We spent part of the morning at Chuck E. Cheese and then ate lunch at Jason's Deli. Afterwards, the girls walked upstairs-Kianna fell asleep first! I guess I did my job and wore them out. We are looking forward to our next adventure with the girls-we still have tokens to spend! Friday, February 20, 2015. Oh yes, and all the kids love to EAT the snow! We st...
