The Only Things That Last Are Those Done For Love. Living as Teachers in Honduras. Currently, Alex and I are living in the small town of San Marcos in the department of Ocotepeque in Honduras. We arrived here in late August 2010 and plan on staying until at least June 2011. The school is called Green Valley, and it's said to be one of the best bilingual schools in the area. We teach children from preschool up to 9th grade, though high school may be an option in the following years. One and a Half Pints.

In two days, it will be our anniversary. Married for one year. This is the hard part. At least for me - I won't speak for both of us. And, I must clarify, this is not necessarily about me dealing with his issues. This is also relates to how I deal with my own issues and how it wears on me, and thus the relationship. The Only Things That Last Are Those Done For Love. Friday, February 25, 2011. Oregon rarely gets any snow where people actually live. There are some years where we will get a light dusting one day, and people play, but it's over by noon. Sometimes we actually get a full snow day with big chunky flakes falling toward an inch or so on the ground. This week we got some of that. Like I said, I don't understand how a school district determines this, but I do know that it isn't always logical. I'm gonna do it.

So far, the weather has not been as people have told us it would be. The rainy season was not really rainy. I don't know if it's just a fluke, but it's the truth. Very little, if any, rain all month. It was pretty comfortable weather. We would wear light jackets to work everyday and then carry them home.
