So it all begins.I decided to start a blog to help loved ones stay up to date with our lives. Saturday, August 29, 2009. Pictures from this summer. Where did the summer go? Here are some random shots from this summer. I think I need to get back in the habit of taking pictures. This is pretty pathetic :-) I seem to have a thing for little Kayin - he has stollen my heart (the toothy little man below). Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. The Three Amigos: November 2008

So it all begins.I decided to start a blog to help loved ones stay up to date with our lives. Monday, November 17, 2008. Ethan never fails to keep me laughing and crying. He brings so much joy to my life. Here are a couple of stories that should make you all smile. Mason gladly replied "sure." Now mind you, Mason's willingness to help does not always come that easily, but where in the world did Ethan learn the word gentleman? Links to this post. Saturday, November 15, 2008. Slam Bam Hermanson Fam. Tuesday, March 17, 2009. Off to the Races! It seems that while I was away for 6 days, Ryder decided to really ride his bike. Before I left he was still very timid, pedaling carefully, barely steering. Now, he practically rides circles around Chloe. A cheerful heart is good medicine." Proverbs 17:22. One Day at a Time: September 2010
http://schwichtenberg.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
One Day at a Time. Saturday, September 18, 2010. I can't forget Ava now can I. She's 10 1/2 months already and I don't know where time goes. Doesn't she look so happy in this picture? She is a pretty happy girl. She's been sick lately so hasn't really been herself, but she's gradually getting better. She has mostly "adult" food now. She LOVES mac 'n cheese and bananas. She's not a picky eater and will eat most things. I really think she likes the independence of feeding herself. But boy does she have fun!

The Three Amigos: December 2008
http://acecmc.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
So it all begins.I decided to start a blog to help loved ones stay up to date with our lives. Monday, December 15, 2008. Ethan meets the cashier at Cub. This picture has nothing to do with the following story. I just wanted to use the picture. Imagine this scene in your local Cub store. The cashier was probably in his 70's. Cashier: Well hello there (talking to Ethan), what did you ask Santa for this year? Ethan (while laughing) says: Santa is not real. Ethan: but you've dressed up like Santa before.

Down The Garden Path Together: January 2011
http://downthegardenpath-downthegardenpath.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
30 January, 2011. Not only were the skies gray and dull today, but at times you could feel the cold tensile touch of metal in your very bones. Tim and I had a good weekend. We were able to wash his car, hang out at Walmart while they changed the oil, and enjoy some sunshine. We also made it through the recording and transmission of my first required speech, a process that was as nerve-wracking as the actual presentation. At one point we took the phone apart to borrow batteries to power the camera. I told...

Down The Garden Path Together: March 2011
http://downthegardenpath-downthegardenpath.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
30 March, 2011. I caught part of an fascinating program on PBS the other night. They were discussing the impact of Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden; their innovative market strategies, their whole woman approach (poise, carriage, health, as elements of beauty), and the adjustments required over such long careers. Over the years I have generally chosen the *no look* look as my look. I've never understood the appeal to look the same every single. I'm thinking about it. 27 March, 2011. I'm also glad I ...

31 July, 2010. This can all be put away. . Ilona, I'm not going to bother returning your paper because I can fit my comments in here. First, you're one of the few students who I can waive the final draft requirements. Making you re-submit and me reread serves neither of us well at this point. Your consistent excellent work earns you an "A" in the class. 30 July, 2010. While the rest of my family. Back to the list:. A hair cut - I mean trim. One Day at a Time: July 2011
http://schwichtenberg.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
One Day at a Time. Wednesday, July 13, 2011. Back in April we lost another one of our dogs. Again this happened in the middle of the night and was a major shock to us. Sabri was the second greyhound that we adopted. After adopting Fangio we wanted to get a companion for him so we chose to get a second greyhound. The saying among greyhound owners is "Greyhounds are like potato chips, you can't just have one". It is a very true statement. As with Rossi we could have taken her to the U of M to have an MRI d...
