Check it out here. I assembled this at a quilt retreat and put it in the lineup to quilt. It was the perfect pattern as it used fat quarters . No offense to George Harrison,(While My Guitar Gently Weeps),but this guitar quilt is happy to be all done! Here's a close up of the fret and scrolls. Done with a blue Omni thread. I wanted to make the guitars stand out a bit so did a simple meander in all the blue surrounding fabric. Very fun quilt to work on! Another by the same client is a modern squares with beautiful fabric.

This one by Diana Frohn. She did this with embroidery and what a superb job she did. Her colors and fabrics are wonderful! Affairs of the Heart. It's not easy to get a picture that will show the quilting on black. hard to see when quilting too! Tried to get more light on the quilt, enjoy the views. These blocks are wonderful!

Originally published in Australian Patchwork and Quilting. Isn't this a lovely quilt? I quilted this late last year for this guild in New Jersey. It is a group quilt. It was so very well pieced. Everything matched and square! I was happy to hear that it got a Best of Show ribbon at the Somer Quilt Show. September 8, 2015 at 11:44 AM.

The blue squares quilt has a simple meander in a light blue on it. And the reddish orange quilt has sunflowers in the fabric, so I did a easy sunflower quilting design in a orangey-red thread. A beautiful applique by Mary H. I used a new Omni color , Maple, and it was just perfect! Henrietta Whiskers by Mary H. Vive La France by Pat P. This is quilted with Fleur de Lis motifs in red thread and an Eiffel tower border in black. Inner border is in French Blue . Omni and So Fine thread. Links to this post.

On the Frame with CeciliaQuilts. Longarm Quilting by Cecilia Hosford. Friday, May 3, 2013. Here is the "before" of this retro style butterfly quilt. These are old blocks, found , a few finished and then put together. There was some fullness in the muslin of the blocks, but it isn't too bad . I'm not sure you can see the critters quilted in as it's hard to get a good photo on the light fabric. There are grasshoppers, snails and a hummingbird nestled in the quilting.
