Incorporate 5 motorized and remote controlled functions in a 1:14.5 scale model. Make the rear axle pendular while steered and driven. The front axle. In real frontloaders the quick coupler is very close to the front axle in order maximize lifting power without the machine tipping over. In order to achieve that in my model I used the frame from the steering ball joint instead of the ordinary 5x7 frame typically used around the differential. The chassis almost complete. Some of it has been rebuilt.

I was not really happy with the first version of my telehandler. The design was nice but it performed quite badly, especially the weak propulsion and poor suspension. For some reason the tires almost tore off the axles when it drove a meter or so and it looked like the suspension was really weak, which it wasn’t. Stronger motor for propulsion. The chassis is two studs thinner. Almost twice as long telescopic boom. Is a specific blog entry regarding the suspension. 4WD, PF L-motor. Boom life, L-motor.

A model of a dump trailer designed to use with my Lego tractor. Bogie with pendular suspension. Bed lifted by PTO shaft. Lockable Tailgate (unlocks when bed is raised). The bogie needed some work to be reinforced enough to handle stress when the trailer is turned (which requires the tires to slip). The bogie is up side down in the picture for better visibility. Volvo L350F front loader. A motorized RC model of a Volvo L350F front loader. Construct a fast, strong and robust wheel loader still small enough to use the Lego 32030 bucket. Propulsion: 4WD (PF XL motor). Steering: Articulated (2x Mini LA with PF M motor). Lift capacity: 500 g. Length: 37 cm (without bucket). The main problem was to fit the liftarm between the front wheels and still make the model less or equally wide as the bucket (140 mm). 1x PF XL motor. 1x PF L motor. 2x PF M motor.
