De studio is in 2008 opgericht door Marise Schot na haar studie Industrieel Ontwerpen (Master Design for Interaction) aan de TUDelft. Zij studeerde af op Design for Happiness bij TNO. Tijdens haar stage ontwierp zij een product voor mensen met vliegangst. Naast haar studiowerk is Marise extern ontwerpbegeleider bij de faculteit Industrieel Ontwerpen aan de TUDelft.
