Holiday Niseko

Involvement: Design, Consultancy, SEO, SEM. Technology: Drupal 6, Roomboss, Slide Show Pro and Director. 2010 saw Holiday Niseko move their site into Drupal 6 from the previous CMS Made Simple site so that we can move forward with continued development. Drupal was suggested because of its very flexible nodal and modular architecture. Twenty 10 also saw a refinement of design and the addition of finer design details in the accommodation sections of the site and bold call to action buttons.

Lodge Mokoro

Involvement: design, CMS, logo design. Mokoro means sleep in native Ainu tongue and with Craig originating form New Zealand Ruri wanted to use the koru as the base of the the design, funnily enough with a little bit of searching. Mokoro is also a type of toetoe grass in New Zealand, so we looked at incorporating this into the design too. If you look at the about us page you can see Youtei sitting behind some toetoe. Not toetoe mokoro but the idea is there.

At design kojo we use open source CMS and depending on the scope we recommend Drupal. But have also developed sites using other PHP based applications. Both Drupal and WordPress allow great content management and have massive communities for support. For smaller sites we recommend the WordPress platform which powers about 8.5% of the web and has 26million users. For larger sites we would recommend Drupal which powers sites such as the The Economist. Please also check out our capabilities page.
