Apple of the Earth: Thoughts
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2015/03/thoughts.html
Apple of the Earth. Monday, March 30, 2015. So we knew it was time to sell. Plus in a couple of years Grace will be in highshcool and there are just no good options for highschool here in the city. SO all of sudden selling this house was no longer hard or scary in the way that it was. Do you want to know why? PPD has taught me a lot. I am not sure though the suffering was worth the lessons I learned. But life doesn't work like that. You don't get to pick. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). In this blog,...

A sewing and crafting blog. Happy New Year all – hope all had a happy and restorative seasonal break! A huge thank you to the Secret Santa assigned to me by Krafty Kat. Your gifts were gorgeous! I’ve had an extremely productive sewing year in 2013 with back to back projects. What I find difficult though is to stop in between and keep the blog up-to-date – cutting into new material is always too tempting for me…. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. January 5, 2014. I purchased some gorgeous Lizzy Hous...

Apple of the Earth: June 2014
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Apple of the Earth. Saturday, June 21, 2014. And I said the blog might be quiet for a while! Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She said, "oh that's going to come fast! See this woman rocks. She knows people! Anyhow, so I finished up all of my sewing I wanted to do for the girls for summer and I started on Gummy Bear's Christening Gown. This is the Garden Party top and the Sunny Days shorts. The top is made from a lawn and the shorts are made from leftover linen I had in my stash. On to the Christening Gown.

Apple of the Earth. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. It's been a long time! I've been busy sewing things that I couldn't show you because I wasn't ready to share my secret. So here are some things I've sewn to accomadate my already changing figure! So I plan on making most of my clothes for this pregnancy. Close up of those pockets! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Apple of the Earth: Sewing for Archer
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2015/01/sewing-for-archer.html
Apple of the Earth. Sunday, January 11, 2015. I am not ready for him to be in toddler clothes. So grown up. So I may have to sew him more of his clothes so he still looks like the baby he is. Archer isn't used to always having his photo taken. Often times he gets distressed when I pull out the camera. This is Simplicity 2347. Very hard to get a good picture of all three of them! He looks tired here. Pants are Simplicity 2291. This photo cracks me up. He loves tummy time. This is the vest. It was a lo...

Apple of the Earth: July 2014
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Apple of the Earth. Friday, July 11, 2014. Getting ready for baby. In my 9th month of pregnancy, I have lost my desire to sew. I just can't sew anymore. I am too tired. I am working on the baby's needlepoint stocking when I feel like sewing. It's a nice thing to work on. With some of the leftover fabric, my Mom sewed up a little baby quilt. She really wanted the baby to have quilt that was more babyish. So this one is smaller and thinner and I am sure he'll use it a lot too! So here is the stroller!

Apple of the Earth: December 2014
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Apple of the Earth. Friday, December 19, 2014. So it's been awhile. But as it turned out I wasn't the problem. For some reason Archie was not a good nurser. And this, his not gaining weight and not nursing well, is what tipped me over the edge into postpartum depression. My main symptoms were terrible anxiety, a sense of dread, and insomnia. It was awful. There is so much that I have learned from this experience. Now, I am sewing again. And knitting. And working on needlepoint stocking for Archie...I loo...

Railroad pants | Piles of Laundry

Feel free to pin clothing, but please don't pin, copy, or use images of my children without my permission. Thanks! Skip to primary content. October 3, 2013. Since it is time to size up his clothes I went with a 3T for the top and a 2T with extra hem length for the pants. I seemed to have overshot, and he is swimming in both pieces. Next time I’ll take some width off the side seams of the pants pattern, as the rise seems to fit about right. There are six pockets and cargo flaps to boot! And, I should buy ...

Apple of the Earth: Life is Crazy
http://appleoftheearth-sarah.blogspot.com/2015/03/life-is-crazy.html
Apple of the Earth. Monday, March 2, 2015. So we put our house on the market and it sold in one day! We had two offers in one day. So crazy. And the house we fell in love with before we even listed our house we still available and had dropped in price. We made an offer and got it! Moving day is tentatively April 10th! And I can't wait. We are still working out some minor details with the home inspections and such but hopefully everything will continue to go as smoothly as it has so far. Subscribe to: Pos...
