The pictures on this blog really are a great way to see how close my family is. We live in the same neighborhood- not the same street- as my parents and grandparents. Sunday, April 7, 2013. I know that I have lots of blogging to catch up on, but I thought it might be good to just start with what we've been doing lately. Although we travel quite a bit, it is always back home to visit family. This past weekend, we decided to go to Bentonville/Rogers for quick getaway weekend with just the three of us! So happy to be in the hotel! She was a little scared at first. I forgot to take photos in the museum except for one of her playing in the kids area at Crystal Bridges.

Using design elements by Michelle Martin at Designer Digitals. Chili It's one of my all-time favorite meals. When I was pregnant, I craved chili during my first trimester, despite it not being chili season. I love trying all kinds of chili, but admittedly, I can't handle too much heat. My first time trying Texas Chili was at a chili cookoff at my work, where one of my co-workers entered her Texas Chili recipe (which didn't win) but stole my heart. Chili without beans? 5 lbs beef brisket or shoulder.

A lot has changed since that day 65 summers ago. Now I wish I had asked more questions through the years - asked my parents what they dreamed or wanted back then?
