Crescent City Ramblings: Garden Pergola Swing...the perfect gift!
http://crescentcityramblings.blogspot.com/2011/04/garden-pergola-swingthe-perfect-gift.html
Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Garden Pergola Swing.the perfect gift! When my husband asked me what I wanted this year for my birthday, I gave it some serious thought. Past gifts have included whiskey barrels and flowers, dilapidated chairs, antique wooden bunnies. many of these gifts will live forever in the realm of family lore.let's just say hubby has a "knack" for gift giving. But I digress.what did I want this year? And that's how the perfect birthday gift came to be. And started building the fun stuff.

Crescent City Ramblings: Fall Wreath
http://crescentcityramblings.blogspot.com/2010/10/fall-wreath.html
Monday, October 18, 2010. I decided to make a quick fall wreath for my naked front door. This is super easy, even if you consider yourself "craft challenged". Believe me, I'm no Martha Stewart and I can do this. The hardest part is deciding on the look you're going for and picking out the flowers and other decorations. I spend. Trying to make up my mind. I come from a long line of crafty, but indecisive women, and I'm proud to say that it's a curse I've apparently handed down to my two daughters. You can...

Hidden Promise: April 2009
http://hiddenpromise.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree; in cocoons, a hidden promise. Butterflies will soon be free! In the cold and snow of winter there's a spring that waits to be, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. There's a song in every silence, seeking word and melody; there's a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me. From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery, unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see. Thursday, April 30, 2009.

Crescent City Ramblings: It's a bird, it's a plane....nah, it's just decorations hanging from the chandelier
http://crescentcityramblings.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-bird-its-planenah-its-just.html
Thursday, December 9, 2010. It's a bird, it's a plane.nah, it's just decorations hanging from the chandelier. Thought I'd share a few more ideas for Christmas decorations. Don't say I didn't warn you. I like to spread a little bit of Christmas all around my home. Why stick with one tree in the corner of the room? I looked at my naked dining room chandelier and had a lightbulb moment. Okay, that was bad, I know. Couldn't have been easier. So go forth people.continue to spread the holidays. December 9, 201...

Crescent City Ramblings: Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal
http://crescentcityramblings.blogspot.com/2013/10/pumpkin-pie-oatmeal.html
Monday, October 21, 2013. Well, here in New Orleans, the thermostat dipped below 70 so that means it's fall and I can officially gorge myself on all things pumpkin! I'm not a huge oatmeal fan, but I know it's good for me and, well frankly I could eat pumpkin off a crusty old shoe, so I decided to give Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal a shot. I perused the web and found a gojillion recipes, but none of them were exactly what I wanted and I had to go with the limited items I had on hand in my pantry. 3 cups skim milk.
