The design thinking project. Today, we began to turn our attention to the design thinking project, a space in our syllabus to show our prowess about design thinking on some issue. students brainstormed a design thinking project with the following QUALITIES. Benefits the team and society long term. Triggers design thinking in others. Shows both individual group capabilities. Students can put on their resume/in their portfolio. Allows the team to work with diverse people/majors for a different perspective.

At the art museum in roanoke, i saw a ladder happening made from stepping devices gathered from throughout the city. terrific alternative ladders and more traditional step and extension ladders, fastened together with zip ties, made for an interesting installation. Headed toward spring break.but the students continue to press forward in teams of three as they work on JENGA 3.0. kara koy cassie bradfield gather around their physical model, squaring up their ideas. In history/theory, we continued our exploration of ancient greece and the buildings and objects that come to us time and again as people continue to use these as a model for buildings today. i think the students were a little blown away at the prospect of george hersey's postulation that greek temples, ultimately, represent sacrifice. read more about hersey's book here. College park : let loose. Today in hss105, i turned the students loose to do a comparison of the college park neighborhood based on our group assessment of college hill. after the experience of a two week settling into period in the college hill neighborhood, it is my hope that the students will find much to discuss in their presentations on 6 october. 125 presentations : images of empire.
