First check-up went fine. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. First check-up went fine. I'm feeling really good- perhaps I tire a tiny bit easier than my previous normal- but, being summer, it doesn't really matter. I've always spent a fair amount of time on the deck anyway. My hair is about an inch and a half long, curly, and gray. I'm enjoying it. I fully intend to return to my work as a nurse in August, Lord willing. It was wonderful to feel good, relax together, and enjoy the outdoors again. Sunday, May 23, 2010.

Over half finished with radiation! Sunday, May 23, 2010. Yes, Frank brought me home yesterday, and the bulk of my cancer treatment is finished! I am so happy. Thanks be to God and to all of you! Thank you,thank you. I have daily oral meds and IV treatment every three weeks, both working to prevent recurrence. But, neither of these drugs makes me ill, so I'm on my way back! Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Yes, I expect to have my first radiation treatment Thursday, April 8, about 3 pm. I'm so happy to begin this part. Yesterday was the first day since August 20 that I haven't felt at all ill or had my mind preoccupied with 'what ifs' or 'OMG's! It was a lovely day of respite. Thanks for your interest and support- I really miss my workplace and church communities, and I so look forward to being among you again! This will have to do for now. Later, love, d. Thursday, March 25, 2010. Hello, again, I'm still at home healing from my surgery, I guess. I say that because I'm still draining too much fluid through the tiny tube in my side to have it removed- and that has to come out before the whole 7 week radiation process can begin.
