Saturday, September 5, 2009. Dad Runs a Marathon. Back to my Dad running a marathon, he decided that since he turned 61 this year, it was now or never. He trained very diligently for several months before that race. When I was a youngin' I thought that 60 year-olds were ancient and wouldn't be capable of running at all. Thursday, January 21, 2010. Over the last few years, Idaho's capital building was being renovated and remodeled. During this time, the Legislature convened in the Ada County Courthouse. The Court house is remarkable because it reminds of the creepy building from Ghostbusters. Monday, March 2, 2009. St Davids Day in Boise. It turned out to be quite tasty. I'll definitely be making more leek soup in the future. Lamb will probably be eaten sparingly. Leeks are strange looking, but extra tasty. Leek Soup - Cawl Cennin. 6 leeks, washed trimmed and cut into 1 inch pieces. 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed. 1 to 1.5 pints chicken broth. 1 to 1.5 pints whole milk. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. I'm a Liberal. I'm a Mormon. It's true. I am a Mormon Liberal. A lot of other Mormons view this as an oxymoron and a few have asked how it works for me to be both. I have two answers for them:. 1 Sometimes my Mormon-ness makes me a liberal. 2 Others times it's just that I don't understand conservative thought. 1 I often feel that the views of Conservative Mormons contradict my understanding of scripture.
