Share my adventures through life. Wednesday, February 22, 2006. For your continuing education I thought that I'd update you on the development of Taupo. The first massive explosion was 300,000 years ago. Then in 186 AD an explosion at Taupo blew a 660 square kilometre hole in the earth and send the ash over a huge area. The Chinese heard the explosion and even Rome enjoyed dazzling sunsets as a result. It was then that the lake was formed. Yes possibly from 300,000 years ago. Thanks for the enlightenment!

Share my adventures through life. Saturday, February 18, 2006. Well ladies and gentlemen,. At midnight some 12 hours ago, I was standing on a line ready and eager to run 100km. The adrenaline was pumping, I felt in good shape and had at least trained a bit for the adventure ahead. I was with Jan (a Dutchman) who is also with Fatherheart Ministries and we had a support guy (Lance) from the church who drove 10km down the road so that we could drink water, eat bananas and get some Carb boosts. Me - 22 km.

One of my favorites is "Put a smile on ya dial" which loosely translated means - cheer up ya grumpy bore. I Love it.
