Stieg Larsson explains the economy
http://www.destinyland.net/Stieg_Larsson_on_the_economy.htm
The happiest blog on earth. There's a great speech about the economy towards the end of. The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo. The Stock Exchange is something very different. There is no economy and no production of goods and services. There are only fantasies in which people from one hour to the next decide that this or that company is worth so many billions, more or less. It doesn't have a thing to do with the Swedish economy.". So you're saying that it doesn't matter if the Stock Exchange drops like a rock?

Watch video of General Motors' Popeye/Animal House ad
http://www.destinyland.net/Watch_video_of_GM_AD.htm
The happiest blog on earth. This is one of the most beautiful advertisements I've ever seen. And yes, that. The ad was broadcast for just one day, on Thanksgiving Day during the NFL's traditional broadcast. Of a Detroit Lions football game. It's an implicit thank-you to America from GM for bailing out the struggling automaker, and it was produced by the ad agency Goodby Silverstein and Partners. I'd like to know who's the boxer in the ad, but the symbolism of the NASA rocket is pretty obvious.

And even a cover of The Clash's " Lost in the Supermarket. The melody itself is almost a commentary on middle-class suburban life.

The secret lyrics from Road to Morocco
http://destinyland.net/bing-crosby-ho-hum-lyrics.htm
The happiest blog on earth. I've always loved the laid back song that Bing Crosby sang in. The Road to Morocco. He's accompanied by the "ghost" of Bob Hope's grandmother on harp. It's been more than 20 years since I've seen the movie, but the tune. Sticks in my head. Ain't got a dime to my name. What a terrible shame. Ho ho, hum. Just found a hole in my shoe. And my stocking shows through. Ho ho, hum. I know that when you're as free. As a bird in a tree. Life is a wonderful whim. Rolling along at a loss.
