Doomslakers!: Enter the Hypercube!
http://doomslakers.blogspot.com/2015/06/enter-hypercube.html
Sunday, June 7, 2015. This is the cover drawing I did for Dungeon Crawl Classics RC1: The Hypercube of Myt. A level 0 tournament adventure put together by Jim Wampler, Stephen Newton, and a host of DCC adventure writers of the highest order. This is the first thing I've done with an official DCC RPG logo on the cover. It was a great thrill to see it on display at Gary Con. Here is the cover as presented on the Goodman Games website. Doomslakers!: DCC #...um...
http://doomslakers.blogspot.com/2015/05/dcc-um.html
Saturday, May 2, 2015. Yeah, so the Labyrinth Lord campaign I ran I did this weekly episode notes thingie. I'm not doing that with DCC. I started out that way but rolled a 1 on my spellcheck. Here's what's going on in the campaign in a nutshell:. The PCs are working for a devil woman named Hella Nor. One PC, named Oryx, has taken Hella as a patron to his wizardly ways. Hella has sent the PCs on a couple of missions to reclaim her lost crystal balls. Current roster of characters:. Parsley (level 2 cleric)...

Legend of Drizzt Audiobook. September 30, 2014. October 1, 2014. I’m voting Cthulhu anyway. I listened to the Legend of Drizzt. Over the last week or so. I should note here both my hatred for the character of Drizzt. And the fact that Salvatore never uses one word when three or even four will do. That said, the offer of the audiobook for free tempted me. Also, Ice T did some of the narration. And I really wanted to hear his take. Encounter Difficulty in Lost Mine of Phandelver. Review: Secrets of the Old City from Immersive Ink. January 2, 2015. January 2, 2015. I’ve not yet had the opportunity to play an RPG that takes place in an urban environment. I’d really like to do that soon, however. To that end, I’ve picked up a few products to explore the ideas. This includes Vornheim. So this post is instead about Secrets of the Old City. Found via OSR Today. It didn’t cost me anything, after all, and hopefully it could provide some inspiration. An earlier version. You are commenting...

More LL combat tweaks | POWER WORD KILL
https://powerwordkill.wordpress.com/2016/07/26/more-ll-combat-tweaks
Old School Roleplaying and related musings. More LL combat tweaks. July 26, 2016. I got a lot of positive feedback on social media channels for my weapons rules, although a few commentators highlighted that polearms seemed too powerful. I’m ok with polearms being more effective that most other weapons in combat, but that should only be part of their value. Rather than reduce their combat stats, I’ve an eye to make their drawbacks. Note that I am not interested in the discussion of the product's controversial history and Kickstarter. Campaign; the past is the past, and I firmly believe that the product can nevertheless be judged upon its own merits or lack thereof. Then came the invading Eld, the Red Elves from Areon, the Red Planet. They wielded powerful magic and destroyed the Great Ancients...
