Saturday, May 16, 2009. Eric and I pride ourselves on being bargain shoppers. We love sales and being the one to find the best deal. Eric may have won this week for finding us a fairly comfy futon, mattress, and cover for $40.00. So, slow the room is coming together. There's so much stuff in the extra bedroom upstairs and it had just become a dumping ground. Unfortunately, it's nearly all my stuff. She is a long-haired Chihuahua and has black and white fur, except for her face which has some brown spots. Some pictures will be available at a later date. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. So, what has been happening in our world? I got to play surgeon one day. Eric's disolveable stitches, not yet dissolved, were sticking out his chest where the port had been removed. Eric called the doctor and was told he could cut the stitch off as close as he could to the skin. From one of Eric's previous visit to the doctor, I had a hospital scissor and set of tweezers. Saturday, May 23, 2009. Brandon got home from Peru this week! Miranda and mommy missed him, but did pretty well throughout the week. I'm grateful for friends in town and a fantastic babysitter that helped watch her when I had evening commitments. She tried really hard not to learn any big new things so Brandon wouldn't miss out. Below is a video of her playing; she's gotten pretty good at clapping now which is one of her newer skills. Big news in the Peterson family - Scott and Lisa had their baby girl!

Vicky has the 30 Hour Famine tomorrow; 30 hours of juice fast, dozen middle schoolers over night at church, 6 awesome 'Tribe' games. Good fun - but lots of work. Had to laugh last night when an 8th grader told me she had $103 already! She had been going table to table at supper, so I asked how much she had before tonight; '$3! Miranda is up on her feet running all around, as long as someone comes along, and there were plenty of fingers to hold this weekend! Vicky's Mom and Dad came down, and Mom made two fabulous meals that we'll be eating on for 2 weeks to come!
