Thoughts and observations of Pastor Eddy in New Hampshire, USA. Sunday, February 22, 2015. John 17:19 "And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.". John 17:20-26 Jesus prays for all the believers who will ever live. Yup - that's us! Again there is compact depth and richness here, enough to ponder on for a lifetime. What would that look like exactly? Jesus' method of ensuring that this goal would be achieved is for Him to 'consecrate' Himself. What does that mea...

http://pastoreddy.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thoughts and observations of Pastor Eddy in New Hampshire, USA. Monday, October 27, 2014. Is she at peace? No, she isn't. I sense it. Neither with herself, nor the universe/God/whatever is out there. I asked her one leading question: what does she feel when she watches a beautiful sunset at the oceanside? She prevaricated and said she appreciated it but didn't 'feel' anything. Fair enough. It was a leading question and she saw it for what it was. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday April 15, 2015 was an extraordinary day in the life of this chaplain. 4 aspects will remain with me, and I'll blog on each one. In this post I want to share with you a simple moment. I may not know what the next few months may bring, but I want to stay with this group of people, just as I have stayed connected to the kind people from my previous church. Thank...

Pastor Eddy's Blog: Easter Saturday - Christ walks Hades
http://pastoreddy.blogspot.com/2015/04/easter-saturday-christ-walks-hades.html
Thoughts and observations of Pastor Eddy in New Hampshire, USA. Saturday, April 04, 2015. Easter Saturday - Christ walks Hades. Easter Saturday. God, apparently, is dead. At least for today, because we know that Sunday is coming.tomorrow. For now though, Jesus is in the tomb. cold. dead. utterly dark. silent. sinews rigid, corpse, almost blood-drained, scarred, naked apart from the burial shroud. Humiliated, cut, brutalized. Who will provide the righteousness needed to undo the the darkness we each carry?

Thoughts and observations of Pastor Eddy in New Hampshire, USA. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the spirit of humankind. This is the current experience of artificial intelligence (AI) and it's been getting a lot of press. I want to ask.what is it to be human exactly? Sure computers can gather vast amounts of data, apply analytical rules to it, extract conclusions and even act on them. Is that all that we mean by 'intelligence'? Links to this post. Thoughts and observations of Pastor Eddy in New Hampshire, USA. Thursday, February 06, 2014. Gambling in New Hampshire. I disagree with the pro-gambling spin. Yes, I am likely to be prejudiced because I believe gambling is morally, theologically and reasonably wrong. Then consider the communities, the smaller venues for entertainment and arts that will have the life sucked from them as the big casino stage takes all the entertainment dollars and books all the big acts. Community arts will diminish in...
