From the hotel we were staying at we could take a water taxi/bus to get there which added to its attraction. The water taxi pontoon was right in front of the hotel. All kids loved the water taxi. Maartje, Eelco, Rick, Kaat and Duuk. By now Duuk also is a very seasoned frequent flyer. Rick got to drive the big motor yacht taking us from the Airport arrivals key to the Resort. The Resort with Male in the background. Woohoo….the beach. Oh oh - that water is trying to catch me. The restaurants in the resort are all quite good and so most time not spend in the water was spend eating and looking good in the Restaurant. Picking up a new girlfriend (Duuk definitely has 'in every stadje den anded schatje').

Maartje, Eelco, Rick, Kaat and Duuk. Atlantis The Palm (Dubai). Last weekend we went for 2 days to Dubai with the whole family. Just for a change of scenery. The main target of 1 of the days was 1 of the big water parks in Dubai. We opted for the relatively new Atlantis at the edge of Palm Island. Maartje, Eelco, Rick, Kaat and Duuk. Monday, March 31, 2014. Fun at the house. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Holi - our 2nd. On March 16th it was time for Holi again, our 2nd at Windmills and so by now Rick had a much better idea what awaited him. I also had invited my VP to join, she was over for a business visit and staying the weekend - so why not! Easy enough to buy some extra white t-shirts and powder and water guns (the latter two Anbu quite happily all sourced for us -:). I think my boss enjoyed herself.

We spend 5 glorious days together, with little time for camera's so we only have a suite of very bad quality pictures of five very very happy days together.We tried to perfect the art of taking selfless in a yuk yuk, at night, on bad roads,…unsuccessfully. Olaf and Hadde showed Rick and Kaat how to work the photo apps on our iPhones, so we have loads of this kind of material. At a fish restaurant.

With Duuk who loves her to pieces and misses out of all of us Kaat the most when we are all away from home. Kaat has the best freckles ever. And a cute now wrinkle.
