About Your First Appointment. What do I need to bring to our first appointment? Please bring the following four things with you to your initial consultation:. Ask your parents and grandparents for information regarding developmental issues among family members. Especially important are family members with intellectual delays, mood disorders, ADHD and learning disorders. Were there issues in the prenatal period like hypertension, diabetes or bleeding? A Description of the Evaluation Process. The evaluation process begins with an initial visit to record all parent concerns, discuss past medical history, observe the child, and go over standardized questionnaires which parents and possibly teachers have completed online. Additional visits are required for testing. Based on new research of Autism Assessments we are adding the Mullen Scales of Early Learning as part of our Autism Assessments to help us recommend the intensity of intervention.
