Things to Do at Devil's Millhopper. Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park offers many fun things to do for local and out of town visitors. Make sure the park will be open when you plan to visit - check out the park hours. Before finalizing your plans. You are welcome to bring your pets to the park in the picnic area and nature trail, as long as they are on a six foot leash. Devil's Millhopper Park Hours and Fees. Park Hours of Operation:. The park is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday). Exact change is required since fees are collected in an honor box. There is no ranger at the gate to collect fees or provide change. 400 per vehicle (limit 8 people per vehicle). 200 for pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers over the 8 limit, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass. There is a wooden boardwalk with 212 steps going down to the bottom of the sinkhole. The park also features a half mile nature trail.
