Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. August 3, 2016. 3 weeks after this trip began, I picked up co-pilot 4, my mom, at Chicago O-Hare. We drove down to Sunbury, Ohio to hang out with Janet and Jim and their amazing animal friends. Many thanks for the honey and the hospitality! Clockwise from top left: making rounds, two college roommates and Rudy, snacktime, looking natural in front of the barn, king of the woodpile, a very fancy pup. Thanks for sharing in this journey! Main Street, USA.

Abundant Chaos, Abundant Blessings: Fishkins Family Vacation Day 3:Destination Badlands
http://blessingsabundant.blogspot.com/2013/08/fishkin.html
Abundant Chaos, Abundant Blessings. Wednesday, August 7, 2013. Fishkins Family Vacation Day 3:Destination Badlands. Sorry for the delay guys! Off we go on Day 3! When we were able to get a break in the rain we tried to get things taken down quickly. Just as we got tents down the sky opened up again. In total it probably rained an hour and a half that morning. It slowed us down a little bit but we still were completely packed up and on the road by 9:30 am, just a half hour behind schedule. The hardest par...

Blogging Bullfighter: May 2009
http://bullfighterblog.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 25, 2009. Our time at Devils Tower has come to an end. I encourage you to personally visit the tower at your earliest convenience. Granted photos of Devils Tower are spectacular but it’s impossible for a picture to capture the feeling you have when you’re lying under the moonlit sky with every star in the heavens illuminating the tower. We were able to spend a little time with Frank this weekend and with the encouragement of Matt Driskill we are entered in the rock climbing class. O, did ...

Blogging Bullfighter: Wyoming Tourism is Alive and Well
http://bullfighterblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/wyoming-tourism-is-alive-and-well.html
Friday, July 3, 2009. Wyoming Tourism is Alive and Well. Of all of the places I have been there is no place I’d rather be than Wyoming. As you know it’s the Fourth of July and we are headed to Devils Tower. In route from Cheyenne, Jamie and I passed more travelers than normal and enjoyed playing the license plate game. You know the one where you try to identify a plate from each state? Well, I’m starting to think folks from all 50 states and Canada are headed to Devils Tower. All have July rodeos. For 10...

Life from the road. The Road Less Traveled. When I was a little girl mom bought me a travel book at a used book sale, one of those from the fifties or sixties with all the kodachrome unnatural colored photos and somewhere, midway thru, was. Photo The one that mattered. The one that stood out. Of all those photos, it was Devil’s Tower. Sentinel, majestic, and all those other accurate yet trite adjectives, that monolith spoke to me from a picture I never got out of my mind’s eye. The view from our cabin.

Blogging Bullfighter: July 2009
http://bullfighterblog.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 5, 2009. Well, it’s time for actions to speak louder than words! Over Memorial Day Weekend I was introduced to a true rock climbing legend, Frank Sanders. Frank is the owner of Devils Tower Climbing. And is the most experienced Devils Tower climber on record. He has conquered Devils Tower in less than twenty minutes, climbed 22 hours straight, reached the top over a dozen times in one day and set the majority of courses climbers follow today. Guys tend to think big, work fast, measure succes...

Blogging Bullfighter: Independence Day ~ Wyoming Style
http://bullfighterblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/independence-day-wyoming-style.html
Saturday, July 4, 2009. Independence Day Wyoming Style. July is a busy month but as previously stated in my blog, Jamie and I decided to slow down long enough to enjoy the Fourth of July with my parents. We are camping at Devils Tower KOA. And loving every minute of it. Today is a day of celebration for Americans across the country and if you’re in a big city, small town, or national park I bet pride in the USA is heartfelt this July 4th. Devils Tower is located in the northeast corner of Wyoming in Crook.

Tuesday, 24 July 2012. RV through Fall foliage in Acadia National Park. Autumn Scenic Drive, Acadia National Park. By George Oze - Flickr. If you're after a beautiful drive and stay among the Fall foliage, take a ride to Acadia National Park. It is located in the U.S state of Maine and reserves much of Mount Desert Island off the Atlantic Coast. By jlava88 - Flickr Commons. By Kathy1243 - Flickr. Just because summer's over doesn't mean the camping is. An RV will protect you from the possibly colder e...
