Sunday, April 02, 2006. After Tatva, i had a helluva lot of wrapping up to do. Clearing the accounts yadayadayada. Just as this job ended. I realised that we had to plan the farewell for our Seniors, coz this was the perfect time. They are the first batch passing out of this college! So, a tradition had to be set.I took up the initiative along with Vivek and Noi to arrange the whole thing. For two weeks, Vivek, Noi, Jimi and Me scouted around all over Vashi and New Bombay looking for a place to set it up.

Pieces of a tattered soul across a stark white screen. Me me me.all the way. Tuesday 28 August 2007. Well, i know i deserve to be crucified for being lazy enough to be absent from my blog for so long. I could site the fact that the wi-fy in my hostel wasn't working or that i just didn't have the time(which would be well, as far from the fact as could be) or that i was in relatively deeper throes of depression than usual. But anyway here goes the countdown of the highlights of my life this last few weeks.

Thursday, 1 March 2007. The general perception about my nick of the woods is that it is a village, a place made only for a country bumpkin like me! Well that’s exactly what I am going to disprove. Today, while I was setting out for my office, waiting at the bus stop (Ya we have buses, gone are the days of bullock carts! With 9 more people. Ask any child about two things that he/she remembers about 1992 – the reply will be 1) Pakistan won the World Cup, and 2) Jaan Tere Naam was realeased. So for all my u...

Pieces of a tattered soul across a stark white screen..: Tryst with the sea..
http://exuberance-umang.blogspot.com/2008/02/tryst-with-sea.html
Pieces of a tattered soul across a stark white screen. Me me me.all the way. Friday 15 February 2008. Tryst with the sea. The sand looked inviting, the white foam at peace,. As it came out to touch me, it was soft as fleece. I saw the satin ribbons, disappear beneath my feet,. I saw myself through the eyes, of the ocean's wild fleet. The sand the salt the warmth, the flowing cold,. They washed over me as I waded deeper, stronger, feeling bold. A shiver of doubt, a moment of fear,. PPS: and by the way....

Friday, 9 March 2007. A Tribute to Women. I read my friend Vivek reddy's blog -. It was a fantastic piece, aptly written to coincide with International Women's Day, and truly a literary masterpiece (It is okay to exaggerate at times! I thought, even I should write something about Women. So here it goes, a compilation of quotations that embodies the quintessesntial unflagging spirit of Women. (Only the last four are original.). Women are from Venus, but Men are just down to earth -Anon. It is said that th...

http://sherryrowl.blogspot.com/2008/07/shopping-voes.html
Wednesday, July 16, 2008. Whoever said shopping is fun must be hanged! Or worse. made to shop for a month with my mom. And all those who think its a stressbuster, think again. As far as I am concerned, its been giving me sleepless nights for a month. What with looking for everything from shoes to safety pins, from hankies to spoons. And the tailors. I really am going to strangle them with their very own inchetapes! Trials, retrials, countless fittings, that never seem to end. July 16, 2008 at 4:51 AM.

Freeville: Of orange laced shoes
http://sherryrowl.blogspot.com/2008/04/of-orange-laced-shoes.html
Monday, April 14, 2008. Of orange laced shoes. I was a pair of orange laced shoes. So full of youth. Off I go in a careless swagger. jumping over potholes. Slipping and sliding over the road's greying pearls, to touch the peak of a mountain of rubble,. Almost toppling off to nothingness. clawing the trembling sides with my rubbery sole. And I have made it. I rest a while. Swathed in the grey glory of my rumbling kingdom. But I can't stay still now can I? What should I do now? A voyage of meaning. April 1...

Monday, March 31, 2008. Say it with pictures. Recently, bloggerville was taken by storm by Mez's post on crush dedications. It gave people a chance to express how they felt about their fellow bloggers and earned mez a whooping (and well deserved, for coming up with such a brilliant idea) 269 comments :D. Personally I thought it was a lot of fun and spiced up the blogger scene and also added a bit of intrigue to a lot of lives (what with all those guessing games with all the anonymous comments ;) ;) :D).
