Save New Jersey: Social Security is not alone on GOP chopping block
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/04/social-security-is-not-alone-on-gop.html
Monday, April 18, 2005. Social Security is not alone on GOP chopping block. In February, President Bush proposed $8.5 billion in Medicaid cuts. GOP leaders in the House and Senate proposed making the cuts bigger to pay for new tax cut initiatives. This cut in health care funding comes on top of the GOP plan to eliminate Social Security by diverting funds from the retirement system into risky stock market investments. Save New Jersey: Real Reform, Needed Now
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/05/real-reform-needed-now.html
Thursday, May 05, 2005. Real Reform, Needed Now. We support term limits that confine politicians to ten consecutive years in any one public office. Corruption would decline and efficiency would increase if people elected more statewide government officials. Public officials convicted of corruption, bribery or extortion should face mandatory jail time and have their pensions automatically revoked. Handlin's measure does not ban any form of legalized bribery. If it is wrong for a state official to acce...

Save New Jersey: Property taxes and corruption are the issues.
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/10/property-taxes-and-corruption-are.html
Saturday, October 01, 2005. Property taxes and corruption are the issues. Property taxes and corruption are the issues facing 13th District voters this year. Amy Handlin voted to raise property taxes every year to support corruption among Monmouth County Republicans. Bill Flynn and Mike Dasaro want to cut property taxes in half by making a fundamental change in the way we finance public schools. Our schools are investments in our future and no more precious challenge lies ahead than how we prepare our ki...

Save New Jersey: Safeguard children from predators and politics
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/07/safeguard-children-from-predators-and.html
Monday, July 25, 2005. Safeguard children from predators and politics. Assemblyman Joseph Azzolina, R-Monmouth has interoduced a set of bills (Assembly No. 4064, 4065, 4066, 4067), that are the next logical step after Megan’s Law. It is sound legislation and a good step into the future for safeguarding our children from predators. The legislation would, among other things, establish a two-year pilot program for the continuous satellite-based monitoring of certain sex offenders. Oddly enough, Assemblyman ...

Save New Jersey: The Battle Begins
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/04/battle-begins.html
Monday, April 11, 2005. Republicans have selected Monmouth County Freeholder Amy Handlin to replace longtime GOP Assemblyman Joe Azzolina on their 2005 ticket. In stark contrast to the message often used to promote Republicans, Handlin never met a tax she did not love! In her many years as Monmouth County Freeholder and member of the Middletown Township Committee, Handlin never voted against a tax hike! This is going to be a long campaign, and we hope we can count on you to spread the message: The time h...

Save New Jersey
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/08/crooked-monmouth-county-republicans.html
Monday, August 15, 2005. The crooked Monmouth County Republicans have more to answer for than rampant corruption. The Asbury Park Press published a great series recently showing that the all-Republican Monmouth County government ranks at the top for taxing and spending in New Jersey. According the the Press report, "last year, both the taxes collected by Monmouth County and the amount the county government spent placed it second highest among all counties in New Jersey.". Palughi, who has been paid to wo...

Save New Jersey: June 2005
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 18, 2005. GOP Record Is Taxing. During 18 years in public office, Amy Handlin, a Republican Assembly nominee, never voted against a property tax increase. She raised property taxes in Middletown 34 percent in just three years, but never once voted against a property tax hike. She also voted to raise property taxes as a Monmouth County Freeholder. In fact, while serving as the freeholder in charge of finance, Republican Amy Handlin raised taxes every year since 1996! A state Constitutional ...

Save New Jersey: Batter up?
http://flynn-dasaro.blogspot.com/2005/04/batter-up.html
Thursday, April 14, 2005. The Republicans just cannot get their act together in the 13th District. After GOP party bosses in Monmouth effectively conspired to undermine the political career of longtime Assemblyman Joe Azzolina, their hand-picked puppet, Freeholder Amy Handlin, sabotaged herself into a contested primary by virtually spitting in the face of Middlesex County's Republican organization. Now it looks like Azzolina will be on the Middlesex GOP line with Assemblyman Sam Thompson, while Handlin w...
