This is a big topic. December 14, 2014. In the past, I’ve taken Alexander Technique lessons, which in short is a way to think about how you hold your body, and where tension is. It’s not about sitting up straight, it’s more building up your awareness of when you’re sitting, standing or moving awkwardly. But I got to thinking about the phrase itself – you might hear someone say, ‘I had plenty of junk food as a kid, and it never did me any harm.’. How do you know? How do I know whether going to the sweet shop or bakery every day before school didn’t mess with my digestive system to the point where I have trouble most days from heartburn and indigestion (which I do)? When something so fundamentally wrong happens that the computer can’t reconcile reality with what it knows to be right. All it can do is shut down.
