How to get to Devon. Devon is simplicity itself to get to. The are really only three ways that you would enter the county. Via M5 motorway its rough an hour of fast driving from Bristol to Exeter, where the motorway ends. Along the North Devon coast via A39 , the scenic road, but allow plenty of time as it is not a fast road. Along South coast via A35 or A30/A303. The A30 is the main road from Cornwall. A fast dual carriageway, of motorway standard. The A38 over the Tamar bridge, is a slower road.
