The DeVries Family CD. Our History 1700 to 1899. The story begins with. Born around 1700 to 1707, who lived in. It can be speculated that this may have been our lineage. Proven recorded history shows that our ancestor, Minne Berends was born in Kortezwaag in 1771. Minne married Joukje Wijbes in 1795 and they had seven children, before his early death in 1811. They lived in Kortezwaag, Friesland.

Details of family history prior to that time are beyond the scope of this article. Our Arrival in Canada. The Strange didn't stick, but Bill did. We lived on the Luke farm for several years and then rented our own farm near Fenelon Falls.

DeVries family in Taiwan. We are the DeVries family. We are church planters in Taiwan. First time for everything. We are neck deep in language learning. We go to class five days a week and between class time and study time we are exhausted at the end of the day. At the language school we had the chance to hear two different conversations that rocked my world! I love to hear a black person with a european accent because it seems so out of the ordinary, but to hear them speak chinese was world changing.
