Postgresql 8.4 Recursive Queries. Posted by Daniel Lyons on August 11, 2009. Apparently I missed the news: PostgreSQL 8.4 came out on July 1st! This release brings two new features and greatly improves one old feature. This post will be about recursive queries using. With the following table:. Unfortunately, from an implementation perspective, this structure sucks for doing many common operations: computing a string version of a path, for example, or listing all the descendants under a given node. Firefox acting wonky - atomic umber. Dec 7th, 2007 03:55 pm. So, I need some suggestions from the tech-savvy crowd out there. After much futzing about with my computer and such, I have found that the reason I can't open e-mails in gmail is, apparently, Firefox. This was eventually figured out when I tried it in IE and found that everything worked just fine there. Anyone have any suggestions on what this might mean and how I can fix it. I've no interest in using IE for my e-mail, if I can avoid it. Did yo...

Posted by Daniel Lyons on September 11, 2009. Is a tool to render CSV into tables of various formats, including HTML, tbl, and character art (both ASCII and Unicode). What motivated me to write this was discovering the way sexy cool UTF8 box characters. They appear to render really well in Apple’s new Menlo font at least substantially better than they do in Microsoft’s Consolas font which was my previous fave. They seem to have a lot in common. It also does HTML and tbl(1). As I was making my little char...

Sighing all over - minemole. 02 April 2009 @ 11:21 am. Earlier this morning Eugene went to the bathroom to take a shit. He was taking awhile, so I went to go check on him. I found him playing with water in the sink with his underwear still around his ankles. I sighed a bit, turned off the water, took out the plug, then went to go dry my hands. 2 comments Leave a comment. On April 3rd, 2009 09:40 pm (UTC). On April 6th, 2009 03:05 pm (UTC). WoW and no computer - minemole. 26 January 2009 @ 09:48 am. WoW and no computer. I miss having a computer all my own. Now at night, Brian plays WoW and I wander around the house trying to find something to do making sad puppy sounds ;) I don't really miss WoW itself.just something to play that I enjoy with my own computer that I don't have to share. So if anyone wants to donate a computer (not money.then would feel the need to put on the credit line probably).feel free :D. Tags: wow and computers.
