Sunday, December 18, 2011. 2011 had a tremendous highlight, and a terrible blow. The great news (not ju. St good - great) is that our second grandson was born. Matteo Kellen Caristi arrived in April. Kim was able to be in Washington to take care of his big brother Luca while Matteo was being born. Our daughter-in-law Megan has set up a super family blog. If you'd like to see pictures and see what Anthony's family is up to, visit Chaos and Cuddles. Ce and we made our way home. I'm in my 14th year at Ball ...

Monday, June 02, 2014. My brother and cousin had a hotel room in the city center, so when they called in the late afternoon to tell me they were soon to arrive at the hotel, I went to meet them. We then walked back to the apartment. The Greeks took a wrong road and were a little later arriving. That was fine, except Kim walked. To meet them where they should. Have come into town had they taken the road we expected. There were a lot of cell phone calls back and forth until finally they connected. The Univ...

Thursday, December 25, 2014. This is my annual update. Honestly I think Facebook has pretty much made this unnecessary. Kim and I started the year with Tony, our exchange student from Spain living with us. We ended it with Nicole, Joe and Riley living with us. I guess you just never know what the year will bring. Who knows next year? The major travel for the year was our Italy trip. Kim and I took 17 Ball State students to Italy for 5 weeks. On the way out of the country we did a couple of days of touris...

Friday, May 30, 2014. Day 23: Thursday, May 29. Our final Marche excursion took us to three destinations - two really - one was more of just a brief stop. We loaded up the bus at 8:15 to head first to Loreto. Only about 20 miles away. Loreto is home to an important basilica, built around the house of the Virgin Mary. I know what you're thinking: she was from Nazareth, not Italy. The structure has been tested and is from the correct time and place. A sea town. As we drove along we saw lots of places s...

Friday, December 27, 2013. Annual newsletter. Those of you who are Facebook friends probably already know most of these things, but here goes:. January: Anthony returned from his deployment in Afghanistan. Of course we are proud of his service to our country, but we are so glad he’s no longer overseas. Http:/ www.cies.org/ambassadors/Flyer.pdf. April: Kim visited the Caristi grandchildren near Tacoma. Anthony and Megan got to have a brief vacation and Kim loved. We stopped going down and back at my broth...
