Perception v Reality: May 2006
http://dharmabum1.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Is life really how I see it? Monday, May 29, 2006. Best camping trip ever! Not a big deal. We found another site a few miles away, which also happened to be at about 9700'. We made a few phone calls to redirect our friends, and life was good. Saturday was by no means a loss. A good night sleep made everything better, and Sunday morning was beautiful. Because pictures make it better. This one has been on the table for so long it's fading from the sunlight that enters through the reopened blinds. I'm sorry...

Is life really how I see it? Saturday, August 12, 2006. This is, of course, contingent on my receiving a visa from the French Consulate in Los Angeles. On Monday they'll receive my application, and if things go well, I'll receive a visa in 7-10 business days. If I don't receive that visa, my plans will change dramatically, but I'll still go to Europe. If you'd like to spend a night in the City, Jersey City that is, you are welcome. Perception v Reality: A horse called Barbaro.
http://dharmabum1.blogspot.com/2006/06/horse-called-barbaro.html
Is life really how I see it? Sunday, June 04, 2006. A horse called Barbaro. Coming soon, Elmer's Glue, Special Barbaro Edition. For a limited time only. There are, however, some people who feel differently than me regarding this subject. These people believe Barbaro, who destroyed his leg (see below) leaving the gate at this year's Preakness, is some type of savior horse. On the contrary, this horse was too stupid to not break his own leg and almost died (and still may). Some savior. The Life of Mike (Fl...

Only the Dance: November 2005

And other patterns of language). Monday, November 14, 2005. A good example of this subtle inversion of syntax comes in the first lines of one of my favorite songs, 'Many a Fine Lady:'. There's many a fine lady that's laid down beside me. With their flesh made of velvet, and their eyes made of rain. Some tried to hold me, to hurt me, to hide me. Some turned away not to look back again. No longer gypsy-like sadness unending". Yummy, eh? Our words like a mountain stood lonely and lofty. Anyway kiddoes, I am...

And other patterns of language). Monday, October 31, 2005. So what is it? Do I continue holding a certain hypocritical disdain when people extol the virtues of traveling and being all adventurous and condemn or condescend to those who do otherwise, in essence blaming their own inability to live steadily and joyously on a certain deficiency in their system that makes them unable to Be in a steady 9-5 state. or are they right? On the Road: The Republican Party

Sunday, November 02, 2008. Presidential Candidate: John McCain. Vice-Presidential Candidate: Sarah Palin. Of registered voters: 55 million. Recent poll of economists felt strongly that Mr Obama's economic plan was stronger than Mr McCain's - and it wasn't even close. Please come back tomorrow and cast your vote - keeping in mind that we're pretending to be in a fantasy world where we live with a multi-party system - and vote for the candidate who'd be elected if only your vote would be counted. Monday, March 31, 2008. The Benefits of Flexibility. I spent last weekend in Park City, Utah, with one of my best friends, Greg. We traveled together last year in Europe, and I hadn't seen him since leaving him at an airport outside Frankfurt, Germany last September. So when Greg invited me to visit him and his family in Utah for some spring skiing, I was pretty excited. Greg and I were scheduled to flight out of Salt Lake City early on Sunday (different flights), so his dad dropped us off at 6:50, one h...

On the Road: The Autumn Film
http://imfromcanada.blogspot.com/2008/11/autumn-film.html
Saturday, November 29, 2008. On Wednesday night, I stopped by the Oriental Theater in Denver with some friends to see a local band called Paper Bird. They were entertaining, but I'd say their eclectic mix of folk-Americana and beautiful women was more of a one-time affair, even for the price ($11). However, I was pleasantly surprised to hear another Denver-area band, The Autumn Film. Playing in the run-up to Paper Bird. It's a Thursday night). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dharmabuilt is Barry Fleming – Marketing Technology, Digital Strategy, NYC, New York
Dharmabuilt is Barry Fleming. What does it mean? One could say that right action. Is what is called serving one’s true nature or one’s Dharma - and another might say right action is enabled by one's true nature or Dharma another way it could be said is that right action is built by Dharma, or Dharma built. Just as many people these days - I am struggling with my place and purpose in this insane society. This idea. This domain, Dharmabuilt. And a greater degree and sense of Service. What brought you here?

Most people start with an About page that introduces them to potential site visitors. It might say something like this:. I’m a bike messenger by day, aspiring actor by night, and this is my blog. I live in Los Angeles, have a great dog named Jack, and I like piña coladas. (And gettin’ caught in the rain.). 8230;or something like this:.
