A Slap in the Face. The rantings of a formerly crazy person. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. No More Free Skittles For You Mr. Senator. I had the "pleasure" of spending a few days at the state Capitol in March and I really think that everybody should make the trip up there are least once in their life. I was truly amazed at a lot of things, one of them being the irony of debating the state budget while they sit and eat their free snacks. Free snacks? Oh yes - snacks! Tuesday, June 29, 2010. I had always though...

A Slap in the Face. The rantings of a formerly crazy person. Tuesday, December 29, 2009. My daughter and my niece walking on a trail in the Wichita Mountains. The other twin is walking ahead of them with my other niece. Just a perfect picture. In Praise of the Blue Ribbon. No - I am not talking about your favorite cheap beer - you big lush. A Slap in the Face: January 2010
http://a-slapintheface.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A Slap in the Face. The rantings of a formerly crazy person. Sunday, January 31, 2010. We have been stuck in the house together for going on 4 days now. I know that doesn't sound like a long time . but when you have five teenagers and a husband who worked 48 hours straight at the fire station and wanted to come home and take a nap while the kids decided to play "Let's run up and down the stairs screaming like we are on fire" . IT IS! GOING OUT OF OUR MINDS AND GETTING READY TO SERIOUSLY HURT EACH OTHER!

Two weeks from today we will be rolling into fabulous Las Vegas! I literally planned the trips based on what the hotel rooms looked like because I knew that no matter how much I wanted to get out and do fun stuff, I would ultimately end up back in the hotel room alone. Coming Along Nicely: Looking in the mirror... It's not always a bad thing.
http://comingalongnicely.blogspot.com/2013/01/looking-in-mirror-its-not-always-bad.html
On the Verge of Greatness. Friday, January 18, 2013. Looking in the mirror. It's not always a bad thing. Today, as I washed my hands, I glanced at myself in the bathroom mirror. Sweet Jesus. I look like this everyday? What kind of person doesn't want their tormentor to feel bad? Doesn't want the monster to feel pain? So what am I doing? Just thought I'd share that with you. Reader. Yes, that is a Twilight shirt under an Army P.T. Hoody. Heeeey! Caring about stuff is a two sided sword. Care too much a...
