The club has made several trips to the Isle of Skye. Off the West coast of Scotland. John Slade, G0IJN organised the trips, and always went, but other members went when they had time. This has happened many years, but John is unable to orgainise these trip any more, so we are unlikely to go any more We will add some photos later, but since these are rather historical, the website concentrates more on what is going on now. 2013 DXpedition to the Isle of Skye. Taken on that DXpedition.

History of the Dengie Hundred Amateur Radio Society (DHARS). The Dengie Hundred Amateur Radio Society was started in the summer of 1992, after a leaflet was posted to all local amateurs listed in the RSGB. Then moved to the Henry Samuel Hall in Mayland. The Henry Samuel Hall fell into disrepair, so around September 2011 the club moved to The Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome. Where we obtained the permanent special event callsign GB0SMA. The club remained at the airfield for approximately 3 years.
