Bills Bills and Wait! A Duplicate?! | diabeticdudeblog
https://diabeticdudeblog.wordpress.com/2012/08/31/bills-bills-and-wait-a-duplicate
A topnotch WordPress.com site. Bills Bills and Wait! So I am going through our bills, as I am sure everyone does each month. What I do is open all of the bills, then I sort them. The ones I can pay now, ones I will pay later, and the infamous WTF pile that needs further inspection. I get to my Medtronic bill, I open it up, and there is a bill for over 900.00 looking me in the face like an angry thief in the night with a gun! I am too cheap to let close to one thousand dollars slip through my hands! The p...

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE | thediabetesgame
https://thediabetesgame.wordpress.com/2012/09/07/zombie-apocalypse
Here’s a scary question. What would we do in a Zombie Apocalypse? It’s easy to say stock up on Insulin in the early days but Insulin doesn’t have a long shelf life when left unrefrigerated, even when stored in cold temperatures it’ll last you a few years, but by that time you’ll have probably ran out. So what would we do? How would we test our blood? From what I know the only way to do it without a meter is to go and get a meter! What if you don’t have a meter? What would your plan be? You are commenting...
Man vs Food vs Diabetes – Pizza Dodging | thediabetesgame
https://thediabetesgame.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/man-vs-food-vs-diabetes-pizza-dodging
Man vs Food vs Diabetes – Pizza Dodging. Consider this my resignation from takeaway food. I thought I’d finally cracked it when I checked my blood 7 times between eating a Pizza and going to bed. I averaged 5.4 that whole time so I thought I’d finally mastered takeaway pizza. Apparently not. I woke up at 12.1 this morning and that ruined takeaway food for me. I can’t enjoy it anymore. There probably will be a similar post very soon after I’ve given it ‘one more chance’. Man v Food v Diabetes. Orals send ...
Actually Sir, I’d like to keep on… | thediabetesgame

Actually Sir, I’d like to keep on…. This is the first time ever I’ve been confused as to how much Insulin I’ve just injected! I just sat down for my lunch and added my carbs as usual, and then twisted my pen (sounds bad) and told it how much to squirt (sounds worse). Usually this goes down perfectly, I’ve never had a problem. Why would I? It’s simple enough, put it in, squirt, pull out (too far? How much Insulin did I just inject! I though I’d share this as posts have been a bit scarce lately! You are co...

Yep, still got the D. I was in the middle of making a WordPress theme for my Portfolio website and when I was logging in, it tried logging me into this Diabetes Game account so I thought it might be worthwhile starting this up again! I’m not sure how many people still follow me or have left in my absence (please come back) but I’m hoping I can gain some momentum again. One thought on “ Still Diabetic. October 19, 2013 at 9:55 pm. Spurting Blood | thediabetesgame
https://thediabetesgame.wordpress.com/2012/08/23/spurting-blood
Here’s a cool party trick! I was just testing my blood on two different monitors to show a colleague how the results range when something extraordinary happened. Again! I desperately wanted to show my girlfriend my new skill but it wouldn’t happen for me! What was the relevance of dropping my stabber? You’ll see…. I got blood all over my jumper. Yet again, the blood rocketed about 50 cm all up my top which in all honesty, is quite hilarious. I learnt something new! Just another Diabetes perk! You are com...
