Saturday, May 14, 2011. The Sketchbook Project 2012. So, there is this really cool traveling sketchbook show that I am currently debating whether to participate in this year. It's the Sketchbook Project. People with the beautiful sketchbooks. The 2011 tour came to Atlanta and a friend and I spent a few hours perusing through some of the sketchbooks. There were over 10,000 of them! Yes I said 10,000! Sunday, May 8, 2011. Stay tuned for more art! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Duke and Lola: July 2009
http://dukeandlola-art.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 29, 2009. I did not have an idea or "idle" for quite awhile this week. Then the thought of a sloth came to mind, and I just had to sketch this little guy. This is also my first post of art created on my very own Axiotron Modbook. It's an awesome machine. Sunday, July 5, 2009. I guess if you had to live in a high rise, it would be great to have cute neighbors! Thursday, July 2, 2009. Happy 4th of July fellow Americans! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Duke and Lola: February 2010
http://dukeandlola-art.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. Here is a little sketch I did today on my Modbook using Corel Painter. The more I use this program on the Modbook, the more I fall in love with it. I'm also still searching for my own personal style. Something to separate me from what I do at my full time job, which is purely Adobe Illustrator and very flat. Painter is opening a wide range of possibilities for me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Duke and Lola: September 2009
http://dukeandlola-art.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Al was upset when his new wife Peggy did not receive the welcome into the family he thought she deserved. I downloaded a free trial of Corel. Painter and decided to try it out for Illustration Friday this week. I'm still getting used to the program; however, using it on the Modbook. Is pretty awesome. I've been working in Adobe Illustrator for so long now, it's refreshing to use a program that simulates traditional media. Thursday, September 10, 2009.

Duke and Lola: August 2009
http://dukeandlola-art.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 19, 2009. As badly as Medusa wanted to have a facial during her trips to the spa, she could never keep her "hair" wrapped in the towel and out of her way. Tuesday, August 4, 2009. The Ugly Duckling did not want to wait to see if he would actually turn into a beautiful Swan, so he decided to "modify" his look. Okay, so he's not really that ugly, but I did not want to miss out on IF this week, and I'm afraid I'll run out of time. I drew him during my flight to NYC Monday.

Duke and Lola: Shut Up!
http://dukeandlola-art.blogspot.com/2010/08/shut-up.html
Sunday, August 8, 2010. At least, that's what I'm trying to tell myself. Just shut up and write! I have had a couple of good writing days since my last post, but only a couple. More often, I sit down to write and start to question everything. It usually goes like this: is that the right direction for this story? Is it any good? Maybe I'm just kidding myself and I am meant to only be a reader. You see, mean. Shut up, right? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.
