Saturday, August 24, 2013. In any case, Jason and I both had talks with him tonight about how we're supposed to take care of books and his punishment tonight was that he didn't get a bed-time story. You'd think we'd taken away his blankie! I'm a teacher. And I figure, why not try to teach him the lesson now, with something small like a ripped book, rather than something bigger later. Thursday, January 30, 2014. I'd be surprised if someone hasn't heard that Georgia got snow on Tuesday. I'm pretty sure we're the joke of the nation right now (and beyond, probably). It truly was a chaotic mess with people stuck in gridlock for hours (a friend was stuck for nearly 11 hours! Having to abandon cars and walk miles to get home (or to whatever shelter they could find), students stuck on buses for hours or at school overnight. sigh. What a mess. I knew snow was coming before I got home from work.
