It's the little things. Dad Dementia. This is a blog dedicated to my father who was diagnosed with Dementia in November of 2012. I write diary entries to. Remember the days that he won’t remember. And share the experience with anyone who can relate or is interested in reading! I like to keep it light-hearted and positive here, but it isn’t always that way! It's the little things. Dad Dementia. Dad went to a special function on Friday with extended family that he doesn’t get to see very often. He came back wearing a new hat. I can’t even begin to imagine how he got it or if he is meant to have it (dad has a habit of accumulating other people’s belongings and pinching anything he fancies) but he seems to really like it. It's the little things. Dad Dementia. In the beginning… Noticing Dad’s Dementia. We started seeing a change in Dad months before his diagnosis finally came. He had always been a bit of a weird man but Mum has a feeling it began years ago when he became more forgetful of everyday things after an emotional breakdown and head injury in 2008. Things still didn’t make any sense although his behaviour continued to change. Finally there was an explanation. But getting the answer wasn’t the end. Oh...Liked by 1 ...

The patients' groans don't strike me as anything strange - most woman in this rotation are groaning anyway. As I scan the drs notes, the pt whispers "bietjie water asseblief" (some water please).
